\u201cIl mondo s\u2019\u00e8 fermato. Un attimo di distrazione che c\u2019\u00e8 stato quasi fatale.
\nTanti buoni propositi ed altrettante pessime incertezze.
\nIn questo scenario distopico la fotografia e\u0300 una compagna che rilassa ed arricchisce l’anima\u201d.<\/p>\n

Inaugura il prossimo gioved\u00ec 6 maggio dalle ore 17 alle 20, \u201cUn attimo di distrazione regalato alla vita\u201d, la mostra fotografica di Umberto Stefanelli alla Galleria romana \u201cBresciani Visual Art\u201d in Via dei Bresciani 20.<\/p>\n

Quaranta immagini scattate tra Bhutan, Giappone, Tibet, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Nepal, Azerbaigian, Panama, Colombia, solo per citarne alcuni, che sono al tempo stesso appunti di viaggio, divagazioni mentali di un tempo che fu, fantasie oniriche dove la semplicit\u00e0 rincorre la poesia.
\nIn quest\u2019assenza, gli scatti fotografici di Umberto Stefanelli non mirano a riprodurre il viaggio o a raccontarlo, ma lo creano: rappresentano il mezzo che ha l\u2019artista per narrare di un tempo che \u00e8 apparso a tutti noi sospeso, fatto di incertezze e nuove riflessioni, un\u2019occasione per ridefinire spazi personali e trovare una via di uscita, che consenta alla mente di valicare gli angusti spazi nei quali siamo stati relegati, per immaginare insieme una possibilit\u00e0 di riscatto e di nuovo inizio.<\/p>\n

Un\u2019esplorazione visiva che si sofferma sui volti, sugli orizzonti, sul concetto di limite; fatta di rivelazioni, risvegli, disturbi ossessivo-compulsivi, balocchi, pagine di eros gastronomico.
\nVittorie, sconfitte, muri bianchi, ego da contenere, ermetismo, soldati e dediche fotografiche. Nocciola negli occhi, parole nelle mani.
\n\u201cPerch\u00e9 quando un sogno da bambino m\u2019attraversa all’improvviso la strada, la mia Musa cristallizza nel labirinto della memoria, quell\u2019attimo di distrazione regalato alla vita\u201d.<\/p>\n

Fotografo di Fine Art e Storyteller, cresciuto artisticamente a Tokyo e New York, con mostre e progetti artistici realizzati in tutto il mondo. Ha collaborato con POLAROID, LEVI\u2019S STRAUSS, L\u2019OREAL, NOKIA, EPSON, GREY GROUP, YOUNG & RUBICAM, NIPPON TELEVISION, ZOOM MAGAZINE. Le sue opere sono conservate nel Polaroid International Museum U.S.A., nel Museo Nazionale della Fotografia di Brescia, nella Galleria Civica di Modena, nel CIFA – Centro Italiano della Fotografia d\u2019Autore, nel Museo della Fotografia di Lishui \u2013 Cina, nello Shanghai Duolun Museum Of Modern Art ed in altre collezioni pubbliche e private, nazionali ed internazionali. Umberto Stefanelli torna a Roma per presentare presso lo Spazio espositivo \u201cBresciani Visual Art\u201d un originale ed insolito progetto fotografico in cui gli scatti in gran parte inediti, rappresentano un dialogo tra il fotografo ed il fruitore delle immagini.<\/p>\n

La location \u00e8 tra le pi\u00f9 esclusive e di nicchia: una deliziosa e curatissima Galleria situata in via dei Bresciani, nel Rione Ponte, a due passi da Piazza Farnese.
\nUmberto Stefanelli sar\u00e0 inoltre protagonista con un inedito e straordinario progetto fotografico sulla Nord Corea che verr\u00e0 presentato a settembre \u2013 presso lo Stadio di Domiziano – in occasione di \u201cRoma Fotografia 2021 Freedom\u201d, la pi\u00f9 importante rassegna romana dedicata all\u2019arte fotografica che coinvolger\u00e0 tra maggio e dicembre 2021 le pi\u00f9 importanti Gallerie e spazi pubblici e privati della Capitale.<\/p>\n

“The world has stopped. A moment of inattention that was almost fatal.<\/span>
\nSo many good intentions and as many bad uncertainties.<\/span>
\nIn this dystopian scenario, Photography is a companion that relaxes and elevates the soul\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cA moment of inattention given to life\u201d, the new photographic exhibition by Umberto Stefanelli, at \u201cBresciani Visual Art\u201d in Via dei Bresciani 20, will open on May 6th 2021 from 5 to 8 pm.<\/span><\/p>\n

Forty images taken between Bhutan, Japan, Tibet, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Nepal, Azerbaijan, Panama, Colombia, just to name a few, which are at the same time travel notes, mental meanderings of a time that has gone, dreamlike fantasies where simplicity chases poetry.<\/span>
\nIn this absence, Umberto Stefanelli’s photographs do not aim to reproduce the journey or to tell about it, but they are the journey itself: they portray the means used by the artist to narrate a time that has appeared suspended to us all, made of uncertainties and new thoughts, an opportunity to redefine personal spaces and find a way out, which allows the mind to cross the narrow spaces where we have been relegated, to imagine together a possibility of redemption and a new beginning.<\/span><\/p>\n

A visual exploration focused on faces, horizons, the concept of limit; made up of revelations, awakenings, obsessive-compulsive disorders, toys, pages of gastronomic eros.<\/span>
\nVictories, defeats, white walls, egos to be curbed, hermeticism, soldiers and photographs and inscriptions. Hazelnut in the eyes, words in the hands.<\/span>
\n\u201cBecause when a dream – one of those I used to have as a child – suddenly crosses my way again, my Muse eternalizes, in the labyrinth of my memory, that moment of inattention given to life\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fine Art Photographer and Storyteller, grew up artistically in Tokyo and New York, with exhibitions and artistic projects realized all over the world. He cooperated with POLAROID, LEVI\u2019S STRAUSS, L\u2019OREAL, NOKIA, EPSON, GREY GROUP, YOUNG & RUBICAM, NIPPON TELEVISION, ZOOM MAGAZINE. His works are kept in the Polaroid International Museum USA, at the Brescia National Museum of Photography, the Civic Gallery of Modena, the CIFA – Italian Center of Author Photography, the Lishui Museum of Photography – China, the Shanghai Duolun Museum of Modern Art and other public and private, national and international collections. Umberto Stefanelli comes back to Rome – at the “Bresciani Visual Art” gallery – to present an original and unusual photographic project, mainly consisting of unpublished shots which represent a dialogue between the photographer and the images user.<\/span><\/p>\n

The location is among the most exclusive and unique: a delightful and well-kept gallery located in via dei Bresciani, in the Rione Ponte, just few steps away from Piazza Farnese.<\/span>
\nUmberto Stefanelli will also be the protagonist with an unprecedented and extraordinary photographic project about North Korea that will be presented in September \u2013 at the Stadium of Domitian – during the “Roma Fotografia 2021 Freedom”, the most important Roman Festival dedicated to photographic art, which will involve the most important galleries and public and private spaces of the capital.<\/span><\/p>\n
