Nell\u2019epoca antica lo stile era indicato come norma, come modello da imitare, come
\ncanone che ha valore normativo e prescrittivo, ma proprio per questa anche come
\nscarto perch\u00e9 la variazione stilistica \u00e8 lo scarto rispetto all’uso corrente.
\nLo stile ha due versanti: \u00e8 oggettivo perch\u00e9 codice espressivo, ed \u00e8 soggettivo perch\u00e9 riflesso di una individualit\u00e0.
\nSecondo una concezione moderna, invece, lo stile \u00e8 in relazione
\ncol genio molto pi\u00f9 che col genere, e diventa – pertanto – oggetto di culto.<\/p>\n

Una retrospettiva dal cassetto della memoria questa tecnica mista che per pi\u00f9 di un decennio ha caratterizzato in modo quasi esclusivo il mio linguaggio fotografico. Polaroid Emulsion Transfer ovvero diapositive stampate su pellicola Polaroid grande formato. Collage con foglia d\u2019oro (o carte di vario tipo) su carta d\u2019acquerello e distacco dell\u2019emulsione fotografica. Ingranditore, bacinelle, acqua calda, colori, pennelli, spatole, immagini trasparenti, stampe a sviluppo immediato e tempo a volont\u00e0, per un esercizio di pazienza in cui l\u2019artigianato si trasforma in arte e la fotografia in tecnica mista.
\nGiorni e notti interi immolati, tra frustrazione e piacere, sull\u2019altare della sperimentazione. Ispirazioni visive inconsuete, odori inconfondibili di chimica, mani sporche di colla ed acrilico per uno stile fotografico sui generis, costruito su un disperato bisogno d\u2019originalit\u00e0 e coadiuvato da una pellicola pi\u00f9 unica che rara, la Polaroid 809.
\nPezzi unici per celebrare la mia prima ispirazione giapponese. Per restituire la citt\u00e0 fumetto per antonomasia, la Tokyo della mia prima volta, all\u2019immaginario d\u2019un tempo andato, tra intuizioni di giovent\u00f9 e sperimentazioni creative ben oltre la semplice fotografia.
\nSensazioni del tutto personali, seguendo un fil rouge di esperienze nipponiche, segni rivelatori, miraggi misteriosi ed ideogrammi incomprensibili.
\nUn periodo di crescita e sofferenza illuminata in cui la pura, interminabile poesia rispondeva sempre e soltanto al nome di Polaroid.<\/p>\n

In ancient times, style was referred to as a norm, as a model to be imitated, as a<\/span>
\ncanon that has normative and prescriptive value, but precisely because of this also<\/span>
\nas a deviation because stylistic variation is the deviation from common practice.<\/span>
\nStyle has two sides: it is objective because it is an expressive code, and it is subjective because it is a reflection of an individuality.<\/span>
\nAccording to a modern conception, however, style is related to genius much more than to genre, and becomes – therefore – an object of worship.<\/span><\/p>\n

A retrospective from the drawer of memory this mixed technique that for more than a decade has almost exclusively characterised my photographic language.<\/span>
\nPolaroid Emulsion Transfer or slides printed on large format Polaroid film. Collage with gold leaf (or various papers) on watercolour paper and photo emulsion transfer.<\/span>
\nColor enlarger, dark room trays, hot water, paints, brushes, spatulas, transparencies, instant- development prints and time at will, for an exercise in patience in which craftsmanship becomes art and photography becomes mixed media.<\/span>
\nWhole days and nights sacrificed, between frustration and pleasure, on the altar of experimentation. Unusual visual inspirations, unmistakable smells of chemistry, dirty hands of glue and acrylic for a sui generis photographic style, built on a desperate need for originality and assisted by a film more unique than rare, the Polaroid 809.<\/span>
\nUnique pieces to celebrate my first Japanese inspiration. To return the comic city par excellence, the Tokyo of my first time, to the imagery of a time gone by,<\/span>
\nbetween youthful intuitions and creative experimentation far beyond simple photography.<\/span>
\nTotally personal sensations, following a thread of Japanese experiences, revelatory signs, mysterious mirages and incomprehensible ideograms.<\/span>
