\nDopo il solito, disorganizzato scalo a Francoforte, arrivo finalmente in albergo.
\nNella piazza di fronte \u00e8 un trionfo di luce e palloncini azzurri.<\/p>\n

Lancio letteralmente le valigie al concierge basito e mi precipito fuori per cogliere l\u2019attimo.
\nChiedo lumi e mi rispondono che \u00e8 la commemorazione per i 10.000 estoni deportati – senza una ragione precisa – in Siberia nel 1941.<\/p>\n

Dopo Cina, Cambogia, Cuba, Corea del Nord, Laos, Vietnam, Tibet ed altre peregrinazioni a sinistra del democratico buon senso, \u00e8 l\u2019ennesimo sfregio all\u2019unanimit\u00e0 che passa inosservato.<\/p>\n

Mentre continuo a scattare, un pensiero \u00e8 predatore di pensieri.
\nLe dittature vanno fermamente condannate, a prescindere dal colore o dalla direzione presa.<\/p>\n

Ed invece, come avrebbe detto George Orwell, \u201cTutti gli animali sono uguali, ma alcuni sono pi\u00f9 uguali degli altri.\u201d
\nTre quarti di secolo da questa frase capolavoro ed \u00e8 ancora, ingiustamente, cos\u00ec.<\/p>\n

\nAfter the usual, messy stopover in Frankfurt, I finally arrived at the hotel.<\/span>

I literally threw the suitcases to a speechless concierge and rushed out to catch the moment.<\/span>
\nAfter asking few questions, I’ve been told that is to commemorate the 10.000 Estonians deported – for no apparent reason – to Siberia in 1941.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beyond China, Cambodia, Cuba, North Korea, Laos, Vietnam, Tibet and other pilgrimages to \u201cLeft of Democracy\u201d, is, once again, another insult to humanity going unnoticed.<\/span><\/p>\n

I keep shooting with a bee in my bonnet.<\/span>
\nDictatorships must be firmly condemned, regardless of the color or orientation.<\/span><\/p>\n

And instead, as George Orwell would have said, “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.”<\/span>
\nThree quarters of a century since this masterpiece sentence and it is still, unjustly, so.<\/span><\/p>\n
