E’ uno dei miei migliori amici. Il fratello maggiore che non ho mai avuto.
Stiamo bene insieme. Mi insegna un sacco di parolacce in giapponese.
Cosa non molto utile, ma divertente.

Se si accorge che guardo una donna, la avvicina prontamente e le dice qualcosa per me incomprensibile.
A questo punto la poveretta mi guarda quasi terrorizzata.

“Cosa le hai detto?” chiedo io.
“Niente di importante – mi risponde – soltanto di fare molta attenzione, perché sei un pericolo per le donne giapponesi”.

“Ma no! Lo sai che non è vero. Sono semplicemente gentile”.

“Sì, io lo so. Ma lei no”.

E’ fatto così, è il suo modo di scherzare.

E’ uno dei migliori fotografi giapponesi.
Lavora da più di vent’anni per Newsweek. Fotografa attori, registi e cantanti famosi.

He’s one of my best friends. The older brother I never had.
We enjoy spending time together. He teaches me a lot of bad words in Japanese.
This is not very useful, but funny.

When I look at a Japanese lady, he immediately tells her something that I don’t understand.
Then, the poor girl, looks at me almost scared.

“What did you tell her?” I ask.
“Oh nothing important – he answers me – I’ve just told her to be very careful, because you are a danger to Japanese women”.

“No! You know that’s not true. I’m just gentle”.

“Yes I know. But she doesn’t”.

That’s his way of joking.

Anyway he’s one of the finest photographers in Japan.
He’s been working for more than twenty years for Newsweek, shooting actors, movie directors and famous singers.
