Sia la luce e la luce fu!

L’ho presa alla larga, decisamente troppo alla larga, per la modesta presentazione di un nuovo blog, di un nuovo gioco, di una nuova avventura sensoriale.

Una falsa partenza in campo creativo, una perfetta navigazione fotografica controcorrente.

Sono convinto che la fotografia stia vivendo un magico e lussureggiante periodo neo-rinascimentale.
La prepotente invasione tecnologica è giunta in soccorso dell’avidità visiva repressa per tanto, troppo tempo.

L’immagine sta acquistando un significato diverso, indipendente dai canoni e dagli stereotipi classici.
Compatte da 150 grammi e cellulari di nuova generazione rappresentano solo la punta dell’ iceberg della percezione visiva.
In un contesto in cui c’è ancora chi preferisce vivere, fotograficamente parlando, in maniera tradizionale.

Non è importante!
Ritagliamoci il nostro spazio creativo con i mezzi a noi più familiari: dal foro stenopeico al dorso da 40 megapixel.
Riappropriamoci del lampo, dell’idea, della magia con la quale cristallizziamo l’attimo, regalandolo alla storia.

Ho sognato questo blog come una tabula rasa. Un pizzico di ispirazione, qualche pennellata di fantasia, nient’altro.
Il resto vorrei che lo facessimo insieme.
Commenti, consigli, immagini, capacità di mettersi in discussione. Oh se è importante! Oh quanto è importante!

Il talento aiuta, il genio fa molto di più, ma – grazie Luca – l’occhio si può e si deve mettere alla frusta.

Per coloro che mi chiedono che macchina fotografica uso. Vi assicuro che non è importante.

Per i divoratori di monografie. A trovarne.

Per i sostenitori del verbo che senza Ansel Adams non esisterebbe la fotografia. Ma daiiii!!!

Per quelli che vogliono conoscere il segreto di magiche alchimie. Non c’è

Per i modesti. Decisamente troppo pochi.

Per i presuntuosi. Incredibilmente troppi.

Per i Santi i Navigatori ed i Poeti. Indispensabili sempre, comunque ed ovunque.

Per le Muse. Dio quanto le adoro! Coccolatele, sono una fonte inesauribile d’ispirazione.

Per i vorrei ma non posso. Sono sempre più convinto del contrario; potrei ma non voglio o più semplicemente non ho voglia.

Let there be light and there was light!

I approached it in a roundabout way, definitely too roundabout, for the humble presentation of a new blog, a new game, a new sensorial adventure.
A false start in a creative field, a perfect photographic voyage sailing against the tide.

I am convinced that photography is going through a magic, luxuriant Neo-Renaissance period.
The overwhelming technological invasion has come to the aid of visual greed that has been repressed for much, much too long.

The image is taking on a different significance, freed from classical canons and stereotypes.
150-gram digital compacts and new generation cell phones are just the tip of the iceberg in visual perception.
But there are still those who wish to live traditionally, photographically speaking.

It doesn’t matter!
Let’s carve out our own creative niche with the means most familiar to us: from the pinhole camera to the 40 megapixel backs.
Let us take possession again of the creative flash, the idea, the magic with which we freeze the moment, offering it to history.

I dreamed of this blog as a clean slate. A pinch of inspiration, a few brushstrokes of imagination, nothing more.
I’d like for us to do the rest of it together.
Comments, suggestions, images, the ability to discuss and question ourselves. It’s important! Oh so important!

Talent helps, genius does way more, but – thanks Luca – the eye can and must be tamed and trained.

For those who ask me what camera I use. I can assure you that it’s not important.

For those who devour treatises. If there are any.

For the those who believe that without Ansel Adams there would be no photography. Oh, come on!!!

For those who want to know the secret of magic alchemies. There is none

For the modest. Definitely too few.

For the presumptuous. Way, way too many.

For the Saints, the Navigators and the Poets. Essential, absolutely necessary, always and everywhere.

For the Muses, God how I adore them! Pamper them, they are an inexhaustible source of inspiration.

For the “I’d like to but I can’t.” Every day I’m more convinced of the opposite; I could but I don’t want to, or I just don’t feel like it.
