The world is a window that doesn’t belong to me

ENGLISH

The world is a window that doesn’t belong to me.

Words without meaning, disturbing fetishes, silicone brain.

A priceless legacy thrown to the winds. Pencil and ink on paper, without the solemn nobility of the Vitruvian Man.

A nobility that we can’t even remember.

Il pensatore in viola – The thinker in purple

ENGLISH

An almost genuine concentration, between TV and smartphone, fitness and film discussion, Ribolla and Barolo.

The thinker in purple reinvents himself, while I reflect on the course of events; on the nature that has finally followed its course.

La dolorosa certezza di non poterlo fare – The painful certainty I can’t do that

ENGLISH

Philosophical contemplations on the amygdala and cerebral cortex.

A game of tides, carefree hours and dizzying heights.

I stumble again in my thoughts with the gratifying conviction I have forgotten her. With the painful certainty I can’t do that.

L’avidità delle tenebre – The greed of darkness

“Caro diario qui fa freddo e ho messo l’anima in garage…” cantava tanti anni fa Sergio Caputo.

ENGLISH

“Dear Diary is cold here and I put my soul in the garage…” sang many years ago Sergio Caputo.

Temporal swing, unbearable wait and dreams of Spring.

Unfinished projects to be completed, after the indispensable sentimental maturation.

We move away to get a clearer view. Like the white that somehow survives the greed of darkness.

Le confortevoli pieghe della notte – The comfortable folds of the night

ENGLISH

A week break between night views and short trips out the door.

Time loses its importance, while the rules lose their boring function.

I make myself dark, slipping into the comfortable folds of the night.

Spettri e sacrifici agli dei – Ghosts and sacrifices to the gods

ENGLISH

Disturbing forms, abstruse theories, inability of analysis and synthesis.

The ghosts run away in front of certainties that cost me years of sacrifices to the gods.

I keep watching, without the presumption of wanting to grab them.

Lampade, cuochi, fuochi e fornelli – Lamps, cooks, cookers and burners

ENGLISH

A walk in the kitchen, between lamps, cooks, cookers and burners.

A craft of tradition and creativity. Hard work, sacrifice and torment.

Artistic similarities that lead me to reflect on what to do, regardless of the craft chosen.
