Frattura processo spinoso C7. Giorno 38 – Cervical spinous process fracture. Day 38

English

I miss driving. An everyday action that we take for granted.
The car is dirty: dust, grease and bird shit.

I look the rim and I think to the wheel in my head, that thankfully keeps running.

Frattura processo spinoso C7. Giorno 37 – Cervical spinous process fracture. Day 37

English

My thoughts are air that floats on the surface. An army of sperm adrift.
The crowd turned to north-west in a driving rain.

Pure mescaline for a boring and wild-eyed Friday.

Frattura processo spinoso C7. Giorno 36 – Cervical spinous process fracture. Day 36

Giornata diversa dalle altre.

English

I had a different day.
Simone took me to Rome for some medical examinations: CAT scan and magnetic resonance imaging.

On our way back we stopped by a Japanese restaurant. Zen Sushi.
A gastronomic methadone far from the heights of Tokyo and surroundings.
A discreet pleasure that I really needed.

Frattura processo spinoso C7. Giorno 35 – Cervical spinous process fracture. Day 35

In particolare queste tre strofe:

“…Oh, quanta strada nei miei sandali
quanta ne avrà fatta Bartali
quel naso triste come una salita
quegli occhi allegri da italiano in gita…

…mi piace restar qui sullo stradone
impolverato, se tu vuoi andare, vai…
e vai che io sto qui e aspetto Bartali
scalpitando sui miei sandali…

…e tu mi fai – dobbiamo andare al cine –
e vai al cine, vacci tu! – ”

English

I went out a bit yesterday afternoon, in a rarefied atmosphere that reminded me of an old song by Paolo Conte.
Especially these three verses:

“…Oh, how far my sandals have traveled
as far as Bartali has gone
that nose as sad as a steep ascent
those laughing eyes of an Italian on holiday…

…I like it here on the dusty main road
if you want to go, go!
Go, because I’m staying here to wait for Bartali
shuffling my feet on the ground…

… And you say – we have to go to the movies –
– well, go to the movies, go yourself! –

Frattura processo spinoso C7. Giorno 34 – Cervical spinous process fracture. Day 34

Da ieri quanto vento. Troppo vento.

English

A lot of wind, since yesterday. Too much wind.
I wonder why it gives me a sense of uneasiness.

The movie “Volver” and Pedro Almodovar’s genius came back to my mind.
A Spanish wandering, through the plateau of La Mancha, many years ago.
