ENGLISH

Peking duck. A classic dish reinterpreted in a modern way.
Let me thank Iris for the service, for the words and for the Chinese geography.

Now I gotta go. Another plane is waiting for me.
I’ll be back soon, but you have to be patient.

Next stop Beijing

Prossima fermata Pechino.

ENGLISH

Next stop Beijing.
Tomorrow morning I’ll leave for an alternative project.

This time I don’t want to say anything else. New surprises will arrive soon.

Il panorama, il sorriso, il cappello e la giada – The view, the smile, the hat and the jade

ENGLISH

It’s hard to put order in the apparent confusion.
But my eye steals and organizes in a moment all the ideas that go in my head.

Rail cars between Europe and America, carry uncertain observers without a ticket.
Meanwhile I enjoy the view, the smile, the hat and the jade.

ENGLISH

A new project is ready and my inspiration walks as the not well defined shapes of these urban ghosts.

I put together the few ideas left, to face a new, interesting creative challenge.
The instinct I disowned is now partially satisfied. I could not do anything better.

I expect days of discoveries, surprises and mystery.

ENGLISH

Geometries of travel add to the tiredness and delayed departures.
New projects in a still confused white horizon.

I relax with my eyes closed and my head thrown back in abandon.
Tomorrow is a day of alternative decisions. There is still time to dispel all doubts and to relax.

Ben oltre i limiti dell’incredibile – Far beyond the limits of the incredible

ENGLISH

A deserted Tokyo, far beyond the limits of the incredible, in these images sent by Purple Angel.

On March 21st I should go to Tokyo, but the news coming from Japan is getting worse day by day.
My concern is not the earthquake, but the nuclear power plant in Fukushima.

On Saturday morning I’ll take the final decision. In the meantime I hope they fix all the problems at the Fukushima plant.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed for all Japanese people. I never felt so close to them, like in this dark and painful moment.

La luce del sole che sorge – The light of the rising sun

ENGLISH

In the light of the rising sun I see this explosion of flowers on the immaculate sky of Beppu.

A treasure of eyes releases instantly all the words in the world.
The dreams, desires and brilliant perceptions that I love to call “The Special One”.

A wish dressed by light, to break the night’s darkness.

ENGLISH

The tragedy that hit Japan today left me with no words.

A mass of feelings – pain, emotion, anger, resignation and empathy – took away all the inspiration that usually allows me to write and photograph.

The idea creates matter, said my cousin Marisa and my memory forces me to rummage in a drawer, to pick up this old Polaroid, taken in Sendai in a quiet morning of October, few years ago.

I couldn’t take any good pictures in Sendai. I was victim of a mental chaos that overwhelmed me.
Today, perhaps, I understand why.
