Da C1 a C9 senza passare dal via – From C1 to C9 without stopping by the starting point

English

Directions, what a huge question mark! They cause doubts but encourage curiosity.
Who comes, who goes, who just prefers waiting.

From C1 to C9 without stopping by the starting point. Trusting more to Lady Luck than any kind of
rationality.

If you’re lucky enough, you’ll get a chance to live another, wonderful Spring season.

Nessun luogo è lontano – There’s no such place as far away

Io li vivo spesso questi sentimenti contrastanti.

English

Richard Bach says that there’s no such place as far away.
“Can miles truly separate us from friends? If you want to be with someone you love, aren’t you already there?”

It’s a questionable truth. Nearness is a personal sensation, a community of interests, a matter of elective affinities.

I often live this kind of opposite feelings.
A painful impossibility to catch a wish near at hand, paired to the ability of covering huge distances in just a moment.

This Polaroid was born from one of these feelings, from one of these moments.

Le atmosfere asettiche e postmoderne – The aseptic and postmodern atmosphere

English

The aseptic and postmodern atmosphere, which Luca was talking about, comes back in this image.
An almost perfect division of black and white tones.

Contrast gets stronger, loneliness as well, but light and hope are still there.

Are we able to see them?

CIAO ENRICO

L’ultima l’abbiamo bevuta insieme.

Twenty-nine years and you flew away in a very sad August day.
A fucking destiny left you alone in an empty space.

A true smile, philosophical digressions on a delicious bottle of wine.
Dregs, sage, casein and hydrocarbon aromas.
Champagnes and that last Ulysse Collin bottle, A VERY SERIOUS STUFF, like you said after a gorgeous Vinitaly. Too much serious this time.

In the next days, I’ll celebrate you, completely alone, in front of a bottle of Silice de Quincy.
We drank the last one together and we loved it.

This one, I already know, will have the sour taste of losing. But I’ll drink it anyway, with my glass and my sight to the sky and only one thought in my mind: ciao Enrico.

Se mi perdo, mi perdo per davvero – When I lose myself, I do it for real

English

When I lose myself, I do it for real.

I’ve had a very bad relationship with numbers, since childhood.
The arguments with math teacher were quite normal.
I’m sorry to admit this, but I was right, when I affirmed – with the strength of youth – that a high school focusing on humanities doesn’t get along that much with math.

In this Polaroid I get lost in numbers and theorems, breaking and following, at the same time, all the math and composition rules.

Benvenuta Chiara – Welcome to Chiara

English

Today my thought and my image go to Valerio – friend and master of life – to Silvana and to the new born Chiara.

I wanna offer to her one of my favourite Polaroid. I wish this is going to give her, all the bright and starry dreams that it gave to me.

Un’esplosione di silenzio – An explosion of silence

English

An explosion of silence.

The air is warm and heavy, the wind burns your skin.
My thoughts can’t find a nice place to go, a safe shelter from time effects.

I’d love to roam with no destination, like I did many years ago, in between Zabriskie Point roots of sand and sun.

Does anybody else feel like that?
