Un secolo fa – A century ago

Miami 1997.

Miami 1997. A century ago.

The South Beach soft rhythm, the house on Collins Avenue, Latin models 5,9 tall, Margarita pitchers, long weekends in the Keys, the Delano Hotel.

Thanks to my friend Fabio and to his “Green Game”, I relieved – just a bit – those wild years.

The pleasure, anger, madness and doubts, which, on that time, were the spice of my life.

Profumi e cori da Messa Solenne – Perfume and chant of a Solemn Mass

Aspettative soddisfatte e piccole/grandi delusioni.

CHAPEAU!

ENGLISH

I struggled more than a bit in these early days of 2012.

I think back to the memorable New Year Eve wine tasting. A collection of famous French and Italian bottles.
Good confirmations and small/big disappointments.
Then, at the specific request of my friend Ettore, my cellar releases a Coulée de Serrant 2004.

Two years have passed since the last bottle – one of the old ones.
My mind asks for another chance to freshen the memories.

Joly leaves me speechless once again.
Grapes come to life in gold and honey. Wine becomes ideology.
Purity of taste, mineral energy, perfume and chant of a Solemn Mass.

A warm and deep dimension as the pit of my forbidden desires.
A perfect miracle “from sky to earth”.

CHAPEAU!

ENGLISH

I need Tango. I need to get drunk in the City Porteña; in its decadent and bohemian atmosphere.

Finca La Anita Malbec and rare meat. Steps that caress the floor and the imagination in a perfect harmony.

The curtain falls, shadow in the shadow, on a path that not even the time was able to erase.

“…Una sombra ya pronto serás,
una sombra, lo mismo que yo”.

Da venerdì a venerdì coast to coast – From Friday to Friday. Coast to coast

Da venerdì a venerdì coast to coast.

From Friday to Friday. Coast to coast.
Correspondence of amorous senses and painful distances.

Outstanding bills, fines to pay, uncertain weather and sore throat.
Sun and white salt deserts between the thirsty landscapes of the Argentinian Andes.

Unusual sensations for pensive and wistful “strangers in the night”.

Il fascino irresistibile di un giorno d’autunno a Parigi – The irresistible charm of an autumn day in Paris

Le ferite del tempo – Wounds of time

Quant’è rassicurante la pioggia!
Cura le ferite del tempo. Lucida a nuovo i ricordi più belli. Ristabilisce gli equilibri smarriti.

Affinità elettive in lista d’attesa. Calore, musica, pane burro e marmellata.
Idiomi stranieri, mani leggere, alkekengi e vino rosso.

ENGLISH

Rain is so comforting!
Heals the wounds of time. It shines your best memories. It restores the lost balance of mind and body.

Elective affinities on the waiting list. Warmth, music, bread, butter and jam.
Foreign languages, delicate hands, cape gooseberries and red wine.

Under a driving rain that doesn’t seem to pass.
