Frattura processo spinoso C7. Giorno 8 – Cervical spinous process fracture. Day 8

English

A week has already gone.
The road is still long, but it’s time to start dreaming again.

The carefree dreams of children, the purity of a “blank slate”.
A journey to the appeal of the unknown, a walk to do and undo.

English

Who knows why, but since childhood I was always fascinated by x-rays.
The severity of black and white, that milky transparency.

A nebulous border between science and photography.

Frattura processo spinoso C7. Giorno 6 – Cervical spinous process fracture. Day 6

English

It was a special day, definitely better than the last ones.
The words of Massimo, Ina, Tonino, Angela, Gabriella, Giuliana and Pika, the lunch with Simone, a young and promising photographer.

He has even packed my exhibition, “… I stand at the door and knock”. Tomorrow he’ll take it to Grosseto for the set up.
I took his picture coming out of my underground lab, with one of several packages.

I would also like to thank all those who have been close to me in these days.
Everyone in its own way, everyone with his words.
The glass is half full again!

Frattura processo spinoso C7. Giorno 5 – Cervical spinous process fracture. Day 5

English

I spend several hours a day looking at the ceiling.
It seems just a simple piece of white, but when you look at the small details, light, shadow, accessories and imperfections, you’ll discover a world that haste and superficiality have always hidden to your eyes.

Frattura processo spinoso C7. Giorno 4 – Cervical spinous process fracture. Day 4

English

Tonight was a little better.
As my father often said “The adaptability of the human being is phenomenal”.

The camera gives me the movement that my body doesn’t allow.
After few months, is still a matter of feet and recurrent manias.

Frattura processo spinoso C7. Giorno 3 – Cervical spinous process fracture. Day 3

English

The night is the worst time.
After a few hours of sleep, I have pain everywhere.

I wake up and try to channel anger and frustration into something good.

I chase ghosts that wander the corridor. I wanna close them into a box made of dreams and very “special” virtues.

Frattura processo spinoso C7. Giorno 2 – Cervical spinous process fracture. Day 2

English

I’m starting to gather ideas.
“Home” photography is a challenge that I’ve almost always lost.

I’ll need a lot of will and perseverance, to fly, as the Super Mario rocket, towards better times and better thoughts.

Frattura processo spinoso C7. Giorno 1 – Cervical spinous process fracture. Day 1

Stringe e costringe a scomodissime posizioni.

English

I’ve injured in a stupid sport accident : a kettlebell snatch.
One of those gestures that I repeat hundreds of times a week.

The cervical collar is unbearable, especially at night. It tightens and forces me in very uncomfortable positions. I have to get used to it.

I can’t sleep for the pain.
Today I’ll try to follow the Doc advice: codeine and paracetamol.
Tomorrow I’ll let you know.
