Dopo aver visto quest’immagine sullo schermo dell’iPhone, il mio amico Tezuka san – piuttosto meravigliato – mi ha chiesto spiegazioni sui meccanismi che conducono a vedere e catturare una scena all’apparenza così normale.

Una fotografia come questa la sai fare o non la sai fare!
Nessuno può aiutarti né insegnarti.
Nessuna regola, nessun protocollo da seguire, nessuna certezza preconfezionata.

L’occhio fulmina il pensiero. S’impossessa del movimento e regala come per magia la prospettiva migliore.

Quei ciliegi, che ti hanno tolto il senno ed il respiro, sono lì davanti.
Banalizzarli sarebbe un crimine imperdonabile.

E’ una corsa contro il tempo, ma tu sai già che ce la farai.
Lo sai fare o non lo sai fare! E questo – mi dispiace – non è per tutti.

After seeing this image on the screen of the iPhone, my friend Tezuka san – quite astonished – asked me to explain the process which lead to see and capture such an apparently normal scene.

In this case, you know how to do it or you don’t!
Nobody can help you or teach you.
No rules, no protocol to follow, no absolute certainty.

The eye strikes down thoughts. It takes possession of the movement and gives you the best perspective.

Those cherry blossoms, that took your mind and your breath away, are there right in front of you.
Trivialize them would be an unforgivable offense.

It ‘a race against time, but you already know that you’re gonna make it.
You know how to do it or you don’t! And this – I’m sorry – is not for everyone.
